
Welcome to the Partnerships in Food Safety Education Web site. Through partnerships between institutions and among disciplines, students can learn safe food handling practices and the science behind preventing foodborne illnesses.
The Partnerships modules are designed for busy teachers that want to integrate interesting hands-on activities utilizing microbiology in their curricula. Each module is adaptable for teachers to utilize in their classrooms with ready-to-use handouts, worksheets and laboratory materials. Supplemental information, materials and lessons are available on the accompanying web site.
Partnership training opportunities will be available throughout Nebraska between now and the end of 2005. Each two-day workshop provides teachers hands-on experiences with module activities. Teachers will be able to confidently use Partnerships curricula in their classrooms.
